Welcome to The No Grainer!
Hi! I'm Amylou, entering the blogging world with a passion for health, fitness & all things wellness. Ever since the desire to enter the blogging world sparked within me, I could not get the idea out of my mind. My passion for wellness has only expanded over the years and my desire to share that with the world has only done the same! So, I just haaaad to jump in. But, per usual, fear came alongside my desire. I feared what people would think, feared that I wouldn't even be good at it, and feared that my content would not stand up to that of other successful bloggers. However, I've never been one to let go of something that I truly want to do. As someone with a constant "to do list", I'm always looking to "do" things that will make me happier and put forth a better version of myself each day. Not being satisfied with a half-checked off to-do list, I decided to just do this one. And what better way to "do something" that will better myself than start a blog?
I decided to abandon fear and just jump in, something foreign to me, but something that would ultimately serve me. A quote that truly set this in stone for me I read just moments ago: "fear is boring, because fear only ever has one thing to say and that's STOP" from elizabeth gilbert. There's no hope in stopping when an idea has jumped into my mind! So with that, I am here today with my first blog post introducing myself to you, the lifestyle industry, and the blogging world.
My main focus on this blog, as you can probably guess in the name, is adopting a mostly grain-free, paleo-based lifestyle. Although this is where my healthy lifestyle stemmed from, I have adopted much more than just a diet that cuts out food groups. Within this blog, there will be recipes featured, however, my main goal is to explore all things wellness, in the body and mind, and relay that to my readers. What started out as a Whole30 experiment turned into a burning passion to better our minds, bodies, and lifestyles, experiencing all that we do along the way!
Now that I've introduced you to the background behind my blog, I'll introduce you to the content of the blog. My hope is to bring light to and discuss controversial issues in the wellness world today while sharing my research, experiences and experiments with all things health, yoga, healing and food related (no grains!). Just keepin' myself and you inspired! Ultimately I hope to create a community within a community of other health-obsessed yogis & yoginis looking to create their ultimate lifestyle with me! So let's start doing things, and welcome to The No Grainer!
